Summer in Egypt
Underwater world and 14 hours of adventure every day
The reef clan Na’vi and the enchanting Tulkuns from the movie "Avatar: The Way of Water" might have been settled in Egypt. Come here in the summer and you'll find out why immediately. The underwater world of the Red Sea bursts with new colors, the generous sun and air boost your health, and the tourist spots are not crowded.
HEAT LIGHTER THAN A FEATHER
If concerns about the heat hold you back, we can easily dispel them. Thanks to the Egyptian arid desert climate, the relative humidity remains low. So, the high temperatures of the summer months are more bearable as the body sweats more actively and cools down faster. Along with sweat, toxins naturally leave the body. Pores get cleaned, and the skin of the face acquires a fresh, rosy appearance.
To reduce the subjective feeling of heat, you can:
- Refresh your wardrobe with loose, light-colored clothes made of natural fabrics, stylish hats, or caps. It’ll be both trendy and comfortable!
- Drink more water. Along with new photos and a nice tan, you’ll bring home a healthy habit.
- Take cool showers or use hydrolates for skin and hair. Regularly cool down your wrists, neck, and ankles.
- Master the Pomodoro* technique and alternate sun exposure with rest in the shade or under air conditioning.
- Eat more easily digestible and water-rich foods — fruits and berries are the best choices! Moreover, many of them ripen in Egypt during the summer: more than 30 types of mangoes, papaya, prickly pear, figs, dates, and, of course, watermelons!

HEALING AIR
The local dry air is filled with micro-particles of sea salt and negative ions. However, there is significantly less annoying dust, as it has nothing to cling to. This is what you need to improve your children's health and finally breathe easy. Feel your shoulders relax as vitality spreads through your body. This isn't the mysterious 'vacation effect' but an objective phenomenon: negative ions help the body absorb oxygen, and sea salt benefits the bronchi and lungs.
A LONG, GOOD DAY
In summer, the daylight hours in Egypt are 4 hours longer than in winter. So, you’ll have about 14 sunny hours each day for tanning, swimming, sports, excursions, and entertainment.
- The sun rises around 5 am, and by 6, you can go swimming since the water has already warmed up to 22–25°C.
- From 12 to 4 pm, we suggest taking a siesta: finally, add a sweet daytime nap to your schedule, read a book, surf the internet, post new stories on Instagram, or have a meal.
- Dedicate the second half of the day to excursions or sea adventures to capture as many impressions as possible!
- Meet the African sunset among the sandy dunes.
- Any plans for the evening are also possible — the temperature is optimal. You can go to a beach party, arrange a romantic dinner, and admire the beautifully lit streets and mosques.
- And if you’re a night owl — the entire warm Egyptian night is ahead!
VIVID UNDERWATER WORLD
The Red Sea is home to over 1,000 different species of fish and about 350 species of coral. Almost 15% of them are endemic. In summer, exploring this diversity is even more convenient as visibility in the water can exceed 30 meters, and the temperature ranges between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius.
These are optimal conditions:
- For vacations with young children.
- For extended dives without the risk of hypothermia, as well as for first-time diving and snorkeling attempts. You can master this hobby at any diving center in Egypt.
- For observing the amazing underwater world, which also enjoys the warmth and leads a more active life in summer.
Here are just a few of the incredible creatures you can see in the Red Sea in summer:
- Large dolphins (bottlenose dolphins);
- Manta rays and blue-spotted stingrays;
- Butterflyfish, angelfish, parrotfish, surgeonfish, unicornfish, batfish, porcupinefish;
- Giant groupers, moray eels, napoleon wrasses, and turtles;
- Mysterious stonefish and schools of glassfish.

MORE OPPORTUNITIES
In 2023, Egypt welcomed a record number of international tourists — 14.9 million people. The goal for 2024 is even more ambitious — 18 million!
However, in summer, there are fewer travelers at local resorts. This means that the entire tourism sector in Egypt will be more than happy to cater to you: guides, transfer drivers, shopkeepers, hotel, and restaurant staff will have more opportunities to provide quality service.
There will also be noticeably fewer people around. Accordingly, you will have more choices and won't encounter queues or crowds at tourist spots.
Why wait for winter? It's time for adventure now!
